SPREAD HAPPINESS EVERYWHEREServing the poor and the needy is really sharing your joys and happiness with those who are not as blessed as you might be. It is said that when you share your happiness, it doubles. In the same way. when a sorrow is shared, it becomes half. While you double your happiness, you take away half of the sorrow of others. What could be better?

Spreading happiness can be as easy as smiling at the people you meet. It can be as simple as listening to the woes of a person or placing your hand on the shoulder of a person in doubt. Just a hug may change the perspective of a person in despair. Make people feel wanted and you would make them happy.

Happiness lies within each person. It is only when they forget this simple truth, they make way for feelings of sorrow and despair to take over. A gentle but persuasive gesture is all that is required to bring the truth home to them. Like enthusiasm, happiness can be contagious. It is like laughter. When you laugh, the world laughs with you.

Jeremy Taylor explains, “Men of the noblest dispositions think themselves happiest when others share their happiness with them.” Do not seek happiness only for yourself. Seek it as much for others who come in your life, and you will find that it would become as much a part of you as a shadow when the sun shines in its glory.
